I am labeling this as a birthday gift because my hair was driving me insane! Went with the same haircut but no bangs! I think it makes me look grown up.

I put up my Christmas tree last night but I wanted to use my camera more so this is my attempt at being artsy around the house. I'm obsessed with light and how it reflects. Enjoy it. It's been a gloomy week so got no good lighting! I took the night ones at 5 AM and the stairs around 4 PM today. Yes, I put my christmas tree in my room. It's nice to look at!

today was really cold outside. Although just about one week ago it was so warm outside that the flowers started to bloom again, the winter came over us all of a sudden last weekend. Now fields and streets are covered with snow and you can see your breeth while beeing outside.
I used the cold days to finally get back to my own sewing machine. what came out is this little pouch. It is made from a really beautiful antique dark linen fabric with blue stripes. i added some lace and button for the cuteness and even embroidered a little heart on it.
It remembers me of the Shabby Chic or Country style . the inside fabric is a cute polka-dots cotton print fabric from Japan.

It has been added to the shop as well as the below two projects which i already made a while ago but always missed to update them. Hope you like them!
It´s a set of 3 crochet doilies in beautiful snowflake colours and a set of four coasters for the table.
  
Last, but not least, two ongoing projects. i made one of these flower pincussions which are always beautiful and you might have recognized the little embroidery piece below. It´s already finished by now but i still have to decide what project i will use it for. Curious now? ^_^

My nutcracker collection will be in an article on the Etsy Storque. They asked me questions about my collection and I have other close up pics. I will post information here, when it's posted. :)

I needed some things urgently and it was plates and drinking glasses and some storage tins. Obviously I tend to go for old time looking things. I was so happy when I found a good dinner set that is supposed to be very durable. I went to Goodwill in downtown. Very nice people working there. I got some spatulas and measuring spoons but no need to picture those! Just wanted to share excitement.

So I guess I should announce Tom and I are no longer a couple. I'm still working at our work place and everything is fine between us. So we're cool.

I got a studio apartment right where I wanna be in downtown for a good price. Its a loft and I would show you the bed room but I haven't got that straightened out yet. I have never lived by myself so I'm excited about it! I park my scooter inside and so its real cozy in here. Haha but enjoy the small photos of a apartment not quite pulled together. I didn't show the bathroom because well, not much to see! Enjoy!

It's hard to believe she's almost a year old. I've said it so many times over the last few weeks, but it's true. The squirming little bundle we brought home from the hospital is now a spirited almost-toddler on a mission (we've yet to pin down exactly what that mission is, but from what I can tell it has something to do with stealing the TV remote and eating cat food... babies are strange creatures).

It's amazing how much our lives have changed, but despite the magnitude of this difference, it's not something I can easily put into words. We still go to work, come home, eat, sleep, and we have the added task of baby care--it's the same old life, with more responsibilities. If anything, it's more mundane than it used to be, but somehow the simpler things are more fulfilling. Watching Ellie grow into her personality, seeing her try new things--it's an unmatched thrill. And this is only the beginning!

Just look at that face. All the remote-stealing and cat-food-eating in the world couldn't make her less perfect to me.
